While "American Idol, which is currently in season nine, has always had a large audience and many votes, it's obvious to some that many people may watch it for reasons other than to hear the contestants sing. One reason is the comments made by Simon Cowell. Cowell gets picked on by viewers and media outlets for sometimes being too harsh, but other people believe Cowell makes the show what it is. In fact, Cowell said he will be leaving the show soon and it has brought up questions of how good the show would be without him.
To showcase the popularity of Cowell's comments, the "American Idol" homepage contains a link to audio clips of Cowell's sayings when judging the contestants. The comments featured are from this season's "American Idol," although it doesn't say which contestant the comments were meant for. These soundbites have no embedded code, but can be found here, at the bottom of the page where it says "Simon Sounds off."
Cowell will be back to judging on tonight's American Idol at 8 p.m. Tomorrow, two contestants will be sent home because the judges saved a contestant last week. Tune in today and tomorrow to see what comments he has in store for the contestants.

I think Simon Says is great. It is true that people simply get a kick out of his witticisms. I think it was fine that you used a link, as the link led to an easy page to find the sound bites, and many at that. Great idea!
