"The Hills" star Stephanie Pratt, 23, has pleaded not guilty to drunken driving charges in Los Angeles and will enroll in a 30-day rehab facility.
According to police records, Pratt was arrested at 3:45 a.m. on Oct. 18 and released around 10:30 a.m. the same day.
According to People.com, in October, at the time of her arrest, she said that being arrested "was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing."
If Pratt is convicted on misdemeanor DUI charges, she could face up to six months in jail.
"Rad and Bad Reality" would never like to see anyone go to jail, but all we can really hope in this case is that Stephanie takes her brother Spencer and his wife Heidi with her.
"The Hills" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on MTV.
"Rad and Bad Reality" believes it is important to the reality TV world when things such as this happen to reality TV stars. A blog post such as this reflects the traditional news values of audience and impact and is important because it is also making news other places. Any time a reality TV stars gets in trouble with the law, it is news because it could impact the future of the show greatly. Pratt will obviously not be able to film episodes of "The Hills" while she is in rehab for 30 days. Because of that, the show is automatically impacted if filming is scheduled while she is unavailable and then the audience is directly affected. It impacts the future of the show and the future of the fans because some people may chose not to support a show when one of the stars gets in trouble with the law. This topic is also making news in many other places, such as entertainment news sources and the places the links above go to.
